Kino MacGregor (USA) weekend workshop i Århus den 19. - 21 febuar 2010

Kino er certificeret af Sri K. Pattabhi Jois til at undervise i Ashtanga yoga. Hun har gennemført tredje serie med Guruji og Sharath i Mysore og giver workshops rundt omkring i Europa og USA. Kino er også life coach og Ph.D. studerende i holistisk ernæring og har en Master's Degree fra New York University. Læs mere på Ashtanga Awareness.

Om workshoppen

Workshoppen handler om kroppens og sindets forbindelse og om at have den rigtige holdning til sin praksis og den rigtige teknik, hvilket kan føre den enkelte til et højere niveau. Workshoppen består af guidede klasser, mysore hold for øvede, teknik til forbedrelse af smidighed,styrke, bagudbøjninger, filosofi og ernæring for yogafolk. Meditation, Chanting , Yoga Philosophy og Nutrition
In this seminar you will explore a contemporary approach to Yoga Philosophy, practice basic meditation techniques and learn traditional Sanskrit chants. Experience how this ancient tradition holds many life lessons in the postures and technique. For example, openness in the body relates to acceptance as a state of mind. See how life on the mat and life off the mat are often one and the same.
Nutrition : You will learn new information on topics such as cleansing foods, healing foods, good and bad fats, supplements, and food combining.

Inversions, Handstanding & the Art of Balance: Turning yourself upside down challenges the body's sense of spatial orientation, the limits of physical strength and the mind's outer edges of fear. In this class you will learn to approach inversions with sound anatomical principles, an open mind, excitement and fun. You will experience first hand that it takes much more than brute strength to steady yourself on your hands. You will see how easy it really is to let yourself slide into postures, positions and inversions that you think are impossible with just the slightest change of perspective. Everything from shoulderstand to downward dog to handstand is part of the game.

Intro to Second Series Ashtanga Yoga's Second Series, called Nadi Shodhana, works to cleanse the nervous system through a series of rigorous strength, backbending, twisting and hip opening postures. This class makes the challenging postures of the Intermediate series accessible and approachable to all interested practitioners. The inspired beginner will find easy, fun and approachable techniques to some of Ashtanga yoga's most challenging postures, while the avid practitioner and seasoned veteran will find new techniques to inspire their practice to new levels of precision.

You will be introduced to fundamental tools that will heighten your sensory awareness and concentration, build strength and flexibility, and enhance your well-being.

Workshoppen er specielt af interesse for yogalærere, øvede og let øvede elever.
